If you are like me and have twisted ankles and broken bones… you will realize Not everyone wants to grind rails and 360 flip down flights of stairs. However, for starters, a steep concave deck will allow you to get your first kickflip down and move on to bigger and more challenging tricks. However, old school will do just fine to help you understand the basic skateboard tricks on flat ground. Some skaters prefer the flat shape while others love the concave shape; it is a matter of preference as they all work perfectly well.
The Skateboard Wheels
Where you intend to train and run your skateboard will determine the types of skating wheels you choose. If you are practicing street skating, you will need smaller skateboard wheels than those skating at the park because there are more responsive and lighter, meaning you can easily flip them. Grip Tape is Important
After the designer has made the skateboard deck, the sandpaper that overlays the deck is the grip tape. We do not offer grip tape on the skate deck. You will have to order some online and apply it yourself or just go down to the local skate shop. Always support the Underdogs! They will provide you with with a any information needed as you are on your way to mastering your art. Even grip tape and the art world has made them unique, and you can choose whatever color and drawing represent your personality.
Trucks Matter
Your skating board deck determines your truck size. Ensure the skateboard axle length fits perfectly with the deck width and does not stick out. They should align with each other.
